When it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle, one of my biggest struggles is drinking an adequate amount of water. I’ve never liked it much. Why drink something so bland when there are so many tasty sodas, juices, and “enhanced” water beverages out there?
I get it though. Water is a necessity. When I’m not drinking it, I find myself getting headaches or feeling sluggish throughout the day. Or, sometimes I’ll mistake hunger for thirst. Once I drink a big glass, the discomfort seems to disappear.
In an attempt to stop treating water intake like a fad diet, I’ve been finding ways to make it a permanent part of my lifestyle. One of my latest discoveries is adding fruit to my water. It’s no longer boring when you add in your favorite fruit and make it a delicious, almost cocktail-like beverage!
