Fact: If you give me a ton of fruit, I’ll make you a big bowl of salsa. Last fall, I had quite the surplus of apples and cranberries so I threw them together with a bit of chipotle pepper and made a sweet and spicy salsa for autumn. And earlier this summer, I came home from Costco with a large pineapple and 3 ginormous English cucumbers so I threw together a refreshing and crunchy summer salsa!
Now that it’s peach season and I’ve procured the sweetest and juiciest peaches on earth, I made a batch of this Quick and Easy Peach salsa. For anyone in love with dishes containing sweet-savory-salty flavors, fruit salsas are a dream come true. The sweetness from the fruit mixed with typical savory ingredients such as garlic and onions creates the perfect salsa base. Add a little lime, jalapeño, and cilantro to give it that Southwest flair. Scoop that beautiful salsa on a chip and relish in the crunchy, salty bite from the chips and the tangy sweetness of the fruit.
Another bonus to fruit salsa? It’s so easy to make! It literally takes 5 minutes to chop up your fruit and veggies. Then, throw everything into a bowl and squeeze in the lime juice. Add a dash of salt and pepper, stir, and you’re ready to dig in!
Serve this Quick and Easy Peach salsa with chips, on tacos, on grilled chicken or pork, or try it on a burger! Stay tuned for an upcoming post where I’ll share a fun Southwest burger that happens to be the perfect landing spot for this salsa.
